Global Scholars Program: Latin American Cities Information Session

Join the Institute for Latin American Studies and the Office of Global Programs and Fellowships for this information session on the new 2017 Global Scholars Program: "Latin American Cities." In this six week summer course conducted in Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio de Janeiro, Panama, and Havana, students will explore, study, and compare local media cultures firsthand. Students will explore the historical origins and contemporary realities of urban life in the region through research and travel in five cities that capture Latin America's cultural diversity.
Taught by Barnard History professor Jose Moya, the program is open for course credit to rising juniors and seniors in all Columbia/Barnard undergraduate schools. Generous financial aid is available. Applications due in early December 2016.
